Devotional Speech (Middle School Only)*

Official Entry Information

An official entry form, fee, manuscript or outline (3 copies) and video (VHS/CD/DVD) of devotional speech must be submitted to be part of the devotional speech competition.  There will be no gender division in this category. Our goal is to encourage middle school teens wanting to serve God through the ministry of teaching and speaking.

General Rules for the Category

1) Be concise. The speech is to be from 5-7 minutes.  Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit.

2) You must present your message to a live audience.  We suggest your congregation or youth group.

3) Once the presentation begins, there will be no restarting.  If mistakes are made, simply continue on with your message. Edited tapes will be disqualified.

4) Messages should be based upon our 2012 convention theme.  Entrants are free to speak from notes.

*Note: Winners of this category will receive a full TCTC registration scholarship for use at the 2013 convention!
